Sculpture 45—“Joyfulness” (12/18/2023): $1000
This sculpture was initially made as sculpture # 18 “Interlocking triangles”. I liked the concept, but it just cried for color. So in fall of 2023 I wanted to do a painting incorporating many of the colors of the flags of the various groups of different sexual orientation. All of the 12 ribbons of color started in the center where the triangles cross and connect and were placed randomly around the “arms of the sculpture”. Its new name is “Joyfulness”.
Wt. 32.4 pounds, Width 7 3/4”, length and height 15 5/8”, diagonal of 21 3/4”. Oamaru stone and acrylic paint. See number 18 for initial process photos.
