Sculpture # 50 – Undulating Mobius “Trillium” 10/24: ($400 USD)
Finished with the black basalt pinned base, 10/24. This design was an expanded copy of the 3-D printed model by Carl Nelson. I followed the basic concepts but the model was a square and my available piece was rectangular. I modified the elevations around each part of the penetrating groove. I also decided to paint the grooves with black acrylic which created the “Trillium” look. The basalt base will be on a lazy Susie so it can be rotated to appreciate the opposite side.
Weight: 25 pounds, variable thickness from 1” to 3 1/2”,
